   Why PASS’s should be done at CIL’s        
   SSI and SSDI; The two Social Security disability programs
   Workmen’s Comp and private disability insurance
   Medicare and Medicaid
   Return to work issues

   Work incentives:
   Subsidies
   IRWE’s and BWE’s
   PASS
     Ticket to Work/Work Incentives Improvement Act
   Medicaid Buy-in

Afternoon 1
   Record keeping for consumers
   Informing consumers
   Organizing consumers

Afternoon 2
   Q & A, Open Discussion, and/or
   Examples of Consumers needing PASS and related services


OBJECTIVES

   Trainees should gain an understanding of the cash benefits and health care
programs that serve – and limit- people with disabilities

   Trainees should become aware of how work affects these cash benefits and
health care programs
   
   Trainees should gain a knowledge of resources available to their consumers
to enable them to transition smoothly from dependence on government
programs to self-sufficiency

    Trainees should become aware of the need to empower consumers through
making them aware of information sources, and putting them in touch with
advocacy groups affecting the programs that serve them.
